	       Hot keys

   <F1> - get help;
   <F2> - save the active window's content in a
        DOS file;
   <F3> - load a DOS  file  into  the
        active window content;
   <F8> - print out the evaluation function  of
        the position on the main board;
   <F9> - analyse  the  position  on  the  main
        board;
   <F10> - got to the main menu window;
   <TAB> - switch to the "protocol" window;
   <GRAY +> - to make move from the game list;

   <ALT+C> - set time limit for the program;
   <ALT+T> - set timer control values;
   <ALT+V> - switch to "Reply" window;
   <ALT+X> - exit from the program;
   <ALT+F> - go to FILE submenu;

   <ALT+P> - go to PLAY submenu;
   <ALT+E> - go to EVAL submenu;

               Making a move.

    <arrow keys> - choosing the current square;
    <ENTER> or <SPACE bar> - taking or leaving
                      a piece on the square;
    <F10> - go to the main menu;
    <ALT+V> - switch to "Reply" window;
    <ALT+T> - set time control;
    <ALT+X> - exit the program;
    <F9> - analyse the position;
    <F8> - evaluate the position;
    <F3> - load a game list;
    <F2> - save the game list;
    <TAB> - switch to "Protocol" window;


	     Working with game list.

    <TAB> - go to the game list window;
    <arrow keys> - choose a move in the game list;
    <ENTER> - set the position after chosen moven;
    <ESCAPE> - return to main board without
	     changing the position;
    <CTRL+F> - search string in the game list;
    <CTRL+L> - repeat last find.







               Interrupting the search.

    Hit any key and choose:

    <Continue> - to continue the search;
    <Make the best move> - to make the current
			 best move;
    <Set Verify moves mode> - stop the search and
                            wait for other keys.







	      When in Reply window

    <arrow keys> - navigate the file
    <Ctrl+Y> - delete line
    <ENTER> - insert line
    <Ctrl+F> - begin search of string
	 g - search from the beginning
	 b - search backward
    <Ctrl+L> - repeat last find

    Assume that you are working with a
    simple but pretty standard editor




		 The main menu

    <FILE> - to work with game list;
    <SET> -to set a position on the main board;
    <PLAY> - to play mode;
    <EVAL> - to work with static evaluation 
           function;
    <ANALYSE> - to set the mode of detailed output;
    <OPTIONS> - to set the global options.







               FILE  submenu

    <Load Game> (F3) - load the game list;
    <Save Game> (F2) - saves the game list;
    <OS shell> - to carry out a DOS command;
    To return to the program type "exit";
    <Exit> ( ALT+X ) - return to DOS;
    <ESC> - return to the "Chess board" window.








              SET  submenu

    <New game> - set initial chess position;
    <Clear board> - clear the board;
    <Place pieces> - manual setting of a position;
    <Load pos> - load a position;
    <Save pos> - save the main  board  position.









                   PLAY submenu

    <Self Play> - KAISSA plays against itself;
    <KAISSA plays BLACK> - you play WHITE and
                         KAISSA plays BLACK;
    <KAISSA plays WHITE> - you play BLACK and
                         KAISSA plays WHITE;
    <Verify moves> - you can enter moves for
		   both sides;
    <Analyse move> (F9) - KAISSA analyses the
                  position on the main board.





		 EVAL submenu

    <Evaluate> (F8) - print out the details of 
		    static evaluation function;
    <Compare> - compare two files.











                 ANALYSE submenu

    <Level> - set the level of depth at which
	    positions will be printed;
    <All print> - print out all positions;
    <Variation> - print out positions after
		the variation;
    <Move  range> - print out positions in the
                  given range of accumulative
                  searched position number;
    <Killer> - print out all positions with
             the number of the best move
	     larger than given value;

				     More...


    <Deeper than...> - print out positions on the
                     depth more than given value;
    <Print in FV> - print out information
		  in FV0 and FV1;
    <Time used> - print out the time of executing
		main parts of the program;
    <Evaluation> - print alpha and beta values for
                 positions output.







                 OPTIONS submenu

    <Level> - defines the level of program's
            thinking;
    <Opening book> - defines whether KAISSA should
                   use the opening  book;
    <Sound> - defines whether the program should
	    beep after making the move;
    <Time control> - defines whether KAISSA should
                   look after its time control;
    <Reverse board> - flip the board;



				      More...


    <Use chess font> - defines whether the special
		  chess font designed for KAISSA
		  should be used or not;
    <Use opp's time> - defines whether KAISSA
                     should think on opponent's
                     time or not.










             Place Pieces mode.

   <arrow keys> - choose a square;
   <TAB> - change the piece name;
   <SHIFT+TAB> - change the piece colour;
   <ENTER> or <SPACE bar> - set/clear the piece.

   Capitalized letters in the names of pieces
   or colours imeediately choose the name or
   colour.






           Using the mouse

    <Left button>  - as ENTER key;
    <Right button> - as ESCAPE key;
    <Browsing mouse> can be used instead 
                   of arrow keys.
